The temperature may be cooling down, but fall footwear is heating up — and the best way to update your look is by making sure you’re a stylish step ahead of the competition in some new on trend boots! With the cooler weather comes a worthy impetus to retire the sandals you wore all summer and test-drive some of this seasons best footwear offerings.
So put your best foot forward with these four must-have boots that I discussed on my latest NBC style segment for Kerri-lee Mayland’s show. Ready to get your kicks? Step right this way.
Take your style to new heights by grabbing a pair of knee-high boots this season. Whether you opt for a sky-high version or keep things short and sweet, you can instantly transform practically anything in your closet, (including your favorite date night LBD), with knee-high boots. Pair them with skinny jeans for a chic take on a daytime classic or bump up the strut appeal by wearing them with your favorite dress for a night out on the town. Part sophisticate, part uptown girl, the knee high boot is sure to bestow instant it-girl status to whoever dons it.
If your style is more classic, you can’t go wrong with a great pair of riding boots. Whether you’re indulging in some fall fun outdoors, hitting the streets for some shopping, or going for a long stroll in the city with your beau, these versatile boots will have you riding high on style.
Its safe to say, the booty is here to stay. Take your look from day to night (or even desk to dinner), by selecting a classic style with a stacked heel or drop it low with a go-anywhere pair that’s more downtown cool than uptown chic. Whether you opt for a trendy open toe number or keep things sleek and neat in a classic bootie paired with leggings, denim, or even a dress, you’ll instantly add an effortlessly edgy vibe to your look the moment you slip a pair on. Bottom line? The bootie is a good call.
Thigh-high boots don’t have to scream streetwalker. Promise. On the contrary, a contemporary pair can be chic and dare -I -say -it, practical. As I discussed on my NBC segment, you don’t have to be Gisele Bundchen (although it couldn’t hurt) with legs for days to pull off this style. Truth be told, the thigh high boot is truly a closet gem as they can polish off a broad range of looks from mini to pencil skirts, and leggings to skinny jeans. Just remember to keep things classy by finding a pair that flatter your legs in either genuine leather or suede. Don’t be afraid to pump up the volume by styling your boots with a bright hue sweater dress like I did below with gold jewelry accents and clean simple makeup. Bottom line? When wearing this style its important to let your boots do the talking.
From open-toed booties to sky high numbers, these boots are definitely made for shopping. Are you ready boots? Start walkin…

Part exercise class, part dance party, its no wonder that SoulCycle has quickly developed a cult-like following (no seriously, it might be a cult.)
On an average day, some 6,000 people will slip on their cycling shoes and climb atop a bike in one of SoulCycle’s 25 studios across the U.S. The lights will dim to a shade that’s best described as bluish black and for 45 minutes riders will surge up and down in sweaty, unified motions as a superhuman instructor yells out motivational sayings over the pulsating music.
Those who’ve attended know it’s more than an exercise class; it’s a way of life. Its high intensity, heart pumping, feel good mentality gives its riders a kind of high so addictive that it has them feening for another fix long before the first is over.
While SoulCycle has always been fashion forward, ( they house their own clothing boutique,) the company is making it easier to step up your SoulCycle style game by teaming up with Shopbop for a 13 piece capsule collection featuring tees, tanks, sweatpants and hoodies, priced from $48 to $130.
So go ahead and get some good soul. I promise they’re worth sweatin with.

When it comes to topping off an outfit, nothing compares to a well chosen hat.
Whether you’re looking for a glam topper, prefer the mysterious allure of a wide-brimmed beauty, drawn to the age old swanky silhouette of a pill box, yearn for the classic masculine touch of a fedora, or possess a fierce loyalty to the causal nonchalance of the staple beanie, then its due time you met the ladies of Hat Covet.
For those of you who don’t know, Hat Covet was born after Chelsea Irwin and Natalie Mackey, had a serendipitous “find” of some 3000 vintage hats in an ancient millinery in Philadelphia.
Given the sparked resurgence for proper headgear, the business savvy beauties decided to purchase the covetable hats on the spot and a mere six weeks after the launch of HatCovet.com, the world, and Vogue were coveting them too.
While I knew Irwin and Mackey’s finds of vintage Oscar de la Renta and Halson hats were undeniably deserving of the spotlight, I wanted to find a way to shine some of that light on a worthy cause. So I picked up the phone and called Chelsea, (whom I am lucky enough to call a friend) and I told her about my idea of turning her hats into hope for the women at Dress for Success, a charity that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools for women to thrive in work and in life by helping them to foster the self-confidence and resiliency needed to realize their greatest potential.
Luckily for me, Chelsea and her partner Natalie have hearts as big as their closets and with a simple tip of their hats, Hats for Hope was born.
So this holiday season, why not put the beauties at Hat Covet (I’m talking about the hats this time boys) at the “top” of your wish list.
After all, there’s never been a better time then the present to invest in a stylish hat, because through Style by Zoey, Hat Covet and Dress for Success, your Hat for Hope will be investing in someone’s future too. How’s that for style with heart?
Visit Hat Covet today to grab 1 (or 3000) hats from now until January 10th 2014 and a percentage of the proceeds from your purchase will go towards helping disadvantaged woman at Dress for Success dress-to-impress while restoring hope in their futures.
To those of you who decide to support Hats for Hope…Hats off to you!
Figuratively speaking of course.
