They are most common in European countries and the Russian Federation. "Americans" have a more elegant stance and a more toned appearance. The thinness of the "Canadians" is compensated by their high growth, and the coat is darker than in previous varieties.
The skull shape of Golden Retrievers is different with a smooth transition line from forehead to nose. The muzzle is elongated, straight. An adult animal has a strong, dense body with pronounced muscles. The back is straight, there is a slight deviation in the lumbar region. The chest is of medium width. The paws are muscular, with large pads and neat claws. The tail is wide at the base, the tip is narrowed. Neck muscles are well developed. The Golden Retriever's jaws are strong with a regular scissor bite. Medium-length ears hang down the cheeks.
